Chennai: 3 ITI Students Drown Off Besant Nagar Beach
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsIn a sad and shocking case from Tamil Nadu's Chennai city two ITI students drowned off the Besant Nagar beach on Monday morning. While another boy, who has been rescued and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.
As per Indian Express report, the police said four students studying in an ITI at Kodambakkam went for a swim at Besant Nagar. The students have been identified as Lokesh, 17, Sarveshvaran, 18, and Akash, 18.
“In few minutes of entering the sea Lokesh, Sarveshvaran and Akash went missing. The fourth friend who was on the shore rushed and alerted the local fishermen and police who came into action and rescued Lokesh. Minutes later they rushed him to a private hospital where he is undergoing treatment,” said a police officer.
A case has been registered in this matter and police are in search of the other missing students.
