Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao held a meeting with DMK working president MK Stalin at the latter’s house in Alwarpet, Chennai on Sunday. While addressing the press after the meeting, the Tamil Nadu opposition leader said that they discussed on various issues including voicing for state autonomy, securing more rights for states, preserving secularism and demanding more funds for the southern states.
During his address, Telangana CM trashed talks of a third front as of now, adding that it will take two to three months to come to a consensus on the matter. While asserting that India should be a secular country, he also added that they discussed the transfer of subjects such as health, education, agriculture, rural development, urban development, drinking water and housing for weaker sections. The Chief Minister emphasized that the centre has no role on these subjects and asked it to concentrate on leveraging the country’s economy and international relations.
