According to reports, the revenue from TASMAC has reduced by Rs 231 crore this fiscal year compared to the last. Reportedly, the statistics were released by the Tamil Nadu Prohibition and Excise Department. While TASMAC revenue in 2016-2017 was Rs 26,995 crore, it reduced to Rs 26,794 crore in the year 2017-2018.
It has also been announced that the 1,250 TASMAC outlets in Tamil Nadu will be installed with CCTV cameras for supervision.
Wages for TASMAC workers have also been increased. TASMAC supervisors will be paid Rs 750, retailers Rs 600 and Rs 500 for aid salesmen.
