COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On Sept 2   

Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, September 2, reported  5,990 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 4,39,959.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of September 2: 

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  52,380.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –   2,65,688 / 1,74,242 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –154 (64 Govt + 90 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   49,64,141.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 75,829.     

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –    47,99,905.    

- Total number of persons tested today –   73,883.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 3,80,063.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,891.   

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 98 (41 Private & 57 Govt) / total 7,516.
