COVID-19 in TN Today: Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On July 9 

Tamil Nadu on Thursday, July 9, reported 4,231 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 1,26,581. 

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of July 9:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -    46,652* 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  77,386 / 49,173/22      

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –100 (53 Govt + 47 Private)  

- Total number of samples tested till date –    14,91,783 

- Total number of samples tested today –   42,369    

- Total number of persons tested till date –    14,28,360 

- Total number of persons tested today –  41,038 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 78,161 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  3,994 

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 65 (22 Private and 43 Govt) / total 1,765
