COVID-19 in TN Today: Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On July 8 

Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, July 8, reported 3,756 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 1,22,350. 

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of July 8:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -    46,480* 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 74,842 / 47,486 / 22    

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –98 (52 Govt + 46 Private) 

- Total number of samples tested till date –    14,49,414 

- Total number of samples tested today –   35,979    

- Total number of persons tested till date –   13,87,322 

- Total number of persons tested today –  34,962 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 74,167 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  3,051 

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 64 (21 Private and 43 Govt) / total 1,700
