COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On August 7  

Tamil Nadu on Friday, August 7, reported 5,880 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 2,85,024.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 7:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  52,759.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 1,72,334 / 1,12,663 / 27.   

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –126 (61 Govt + 65 Private) 

- Total number of samples tested till date –  30,88,066        

- Total number of samples tested today –  67,352   

- Total number of persons tested till date –  29,75,657 

- Total number of persons tested today –  65,189 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 2,27,575 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –6,488 

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 119 (41 Private & 78 Govt) / total 4,690
