COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On August 5  

Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, August 5, reported 5,175 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 2,73,460.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 5:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) - 54,184  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date - 1,65,509 / 1,07,924 / 27     

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities - 125 (60 Govt + 65 Private)  

- Total number of samples tested till date - 29,53,561       

- Total number of samples tested today - 61,166       

- Total number of persons tested till date - 28,45,406 

- Total number of persons tested today - 59,156 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date - 2,14,815 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today - 6,031  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 112 (28 Private &  84 Govt) / total 4,461
