COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On August 31   

Tamil Nadu on Monday, August 31, reported 5,956 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 4,28,041.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 31:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  52,578.   

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –   2,58,370 / 1,69,642 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –150 (63 Govt + 87 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   48,13,147.  

- Total number of samples tested today –    75,100.    

 - Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   46,52,867.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   73,097.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 3,68,141.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 6,008.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 91 (35 Private & 56 Govt) / total 7,322.
