TN Records 'Highest Ever Rise in Death Toll' Today: Check Positive Cases & Recoveries As On August 3

Tamil Nadu on Monday, August 3, reported 5,609 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 2,63,222.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 3:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   56,698 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  1,59,435 / 1,03,760 / 27  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –122 (59 Govt + 63 Private)  

- Total number of samples tested till date –   28,37,273   

- Total number of samples tested today –  58,211    

- Total number of persons tested till date –  27,33,295 

- Total number of persons tested today –  56,278 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 2,02,283 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,800 

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 109 (23 Private & 86 Govt) / total 4,241.
