COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On August 28   

Tamil Nadu on Friday, August 28, reported 5,996 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 4,09,238.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 28:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  52,506.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  2,47,132 / 1,62,077 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –146 (63 Govt + 83 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   45,73,809.  

- Total number of samples tested today –   75,103.      

 - Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   44,20,697.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   73,186.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  3,49,682.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  5,752.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 102 (33 Private & 69 Govt) / total 7,050.
