COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On August 27   

Tamil Nadu on Thursday, August 27, reported 5,981 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 4,03,242.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 27:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  52,364.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  2,43,589 / 1,59,624 / 29. 

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –146 (63 Govt + 83 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  – 44,98,706.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  76,345.    

 - Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –  43,47,511.    

- Total number of persons tested today –   74,388.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  3,43,930.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  5,870.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 109 (30 Private & 79 Govt) / total 6,948.
