COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On August 26   

Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, August 26, reported 5,958 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 3,97,261.   

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 26:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -    52,362.   

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  2,39,946  /1,57,286 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –145 (63 Govt + 82 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   44,22,361.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  75,500.     

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date – 42,73,123.   

- Total number of persons tested today –   73,631.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  3,38,060.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  5,606.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 118 (41 Private & 77 Govt) / total 6,839.
