COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On August 19   

Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, August 19, reported 5,795 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 3,55,449.    

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 19:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   53,155.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  2,14,494 / 1,40,926 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –136 (62 Govt + 74 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –     39,13,523.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  67,720.      

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date – 37,78,249.  

- Total number of persons tested today –  65,592.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 2,96,171.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 6,384.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 116 (32 Private & 84 Govt) / total 6,123
