TN Records Another Rise in Death Toll in 24 Hours: Check Positive Cases & Recoveries As On August 18  

Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, August 18, reported 5,709 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 3,49,654.    

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 18:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   53,860.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  2,10,953 / 1,38,672 / 29.   

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –136 (62 Govt + 74 Private) 

 - Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –     38,45,803.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  67,025.     

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date – 37,12,657.  

- Total number of persons tested today –  65,075.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  2,89,787.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,850.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 121 (32 Private & 89 Govt) / total 6,007
