TN Records Highest Death Toll Today: Check Positive Cases & Recoveries As On August 15  

Tamil Nadu on Saturday, August 15, reported 5,860 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 3,32,105.     

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 15:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   54,213.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  2,00,253 / 1,31,823 / 29.   

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –135 (62 Govt + 73 Private) 

 - Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –     36,40,796.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  71,343.     

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date – 35,13,495.  

- Total number of persons tested today –  69,598.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 2,72,251.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,236.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 127 (44 Private & 83 Govt) / total 5,641
