COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On August 12   

Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, August 12, reported 5,871 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 3,14,520.   

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 12:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   52,929.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –   1,89,677 / 1,24,814 / 29.   

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –133 (61 Govt + 72 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –  34,32,025.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  71,575.     

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –  33,10,036.  

- Total number of persons tested today –  69,697 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 2,56,313. 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,633.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 119 (41 Private & 78 Govt) / total 5,278.
