BREAKING: Tamil Nadu government Makes Important Announcement regarding Lockdown! Are Companies, Trains and Schools allowed to Operate? Details

BREAKING: The Tamil Nadu government on Thursday announced that another lockdown will be imposed in the state till the end of August 31st. The previous lockdown which was imposed by the state, comes to an end on July 31st. While most of the guidelines which were followerd in the previous lockdown will remain in place, the government has introduced a few relaxations. 

Here is a list of Guidelines announced by TN government:

-Vegetable shops and grocery stores will be allowed to operate from 6 am to 7pm. Earlier they were allowed to operate from 6 am to 6 pm. 

-Places of worship (within village panchayat limits) which have an annual income of less than 10,000 rupees are permitted to operate.

-Online Shopping for both essential as well non- essential commodities will be permitted. 

-Private companies will be permitted to operate with up to 75% of employees.

-Hotels will be allowed to operate with 50% capacity (dine-in facility will be operational).

-No changes have been made to the E-pass system. It is mandatory for citizens to obtain e-pass in order to travel from one district to another or travel from one state to another.

-Educational Instituitons such as schools and Colleges will not be allowed to function in the state. 

- Malls, Cinema Halls and Beauty Parlours will continue to remain closed. 

-A complete lockdown will be observed on all Sundays until August 31.

-Independence Day celebrations will take place with social distancing and other measures.
