BJP president Amit Shah on Monday visited Chennai to meet party office-bearers in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman for discussions ahead of 2019 general elections. Addressing party cadres at a meeting, Shah said that Tamil Nadu has been the most corruption-ridden state in India.
He also called upon the party workers to work towards forming a corruption-free government in the state. The BJP senior leader also added that the decision on the alliance in the state for general elections will be taken after September.
Meanwhile, the hashtag #GoBackAmitShah was trending on Twitter on the national level. Earlier, during PM Modi’s visit to Chennai in April to inaugurate a defence expo, the hashtag #GoBackModi was trending.
