Fake E-Passes in TN? Police detain 4 People Travelling with Forged E-Passes - 'Alert' Report!

A case has been filed against 4 people who travelled to Ramanathapuram from Chennai, with a fake e-pass sticker. The accused have been quarantined and their car has been confiscated by the police.

While inspecting the vehicles which were entering the Ramanathapuram district limits, the police grew suspicious of a vehicle, which was supposedly travelling from Chennai. Upon interrogation, the police found that the family of 3 and their driver were hailing from Ambattur and were bound to visit their family in Pamban.

Although the e-pass was stuck to the car, the police suspected it to be fake, and hence scanned the same. Upon scanning, they confirmed that the e-pass was fake. However, Sethukumar, his wife Parvathy, son Dinesh Kumar and driver Ganesh; stated that they did not know anything about the e-pass being fake.

The police force is yet to probe into the case of fraud.
