Fake E-Passes in TN? Police detain 4 People Travelling with Forged E-Passes - 'Alert' Report!

While inspecting the vehicles which were entering the Ramanathapuram district limits, the police grew suspicious of a vehicle, which was supposedly travelling from Chennai. Upon interrogation, the police found that the family of 3 and their driver were hailing from Ambattur and were bound to visit their family in Pamban.
Although the e-pass was stuck to the car, the police suspected it to be fake, and hence scanned the same. Upon scanning, they confirmed that the e-pass was fake. However, Sethukumar, his wife Parvathy, son Dinesh Kumar and driver Ganesh; stated that they did not know anything about the e-pass being fake.
The police force is yet to probe into the case of fraud.
