Tamil Nadu Crosses 11,000 Mark: 'May 17' Update on Deaths, Fresh Cases and Recoveries!

Of the 639 new positive cases, 81 are returnees from other States.
Four persons succumbed to the virus on the date taking the death toll of the state to 78.

Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 61 (39 government and 22 private)
Total number of samples tested till date – 3,26,720
Total number of samples tested today – 13,081
Total number of persons tested till date – 3,11,621
Total number of persons tested today – 12,445
Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 4366
Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 4172
Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 634
