According to a report on TNIE, the former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was conscious while affixing her thumb impression in the form A and B. The forms were submitted for three by-elections on October 27, 2016, as per the statement by Dr P Balaji, who got the thumb impression of the late leader.
