Pedestrian plaza in T Nagar gets 12 months deadline

Considering the safety of pedestrians and their commuting experience on Theyagaraya Road, the greater Chennai corporation has kick-started the construction of pedestrian plaza to improve markedly within the next 12 months.

AP Velumani, the Minister for municipal administration and water supply laid the foundation stone for the Rs 33.8 crore project whose construction will be undertaken in three phases to ensure work quality and minimal traffic disruption.
