Police reportedly lathi-charged on students who were protesting against the Karunya University management in Coimbatore on Thursday for collecting excessive fee. Reports say, thousands of students gathered outside the campus in protest, following which, the University has announced two week holiday for the students. One student was injured when students tried to halt the car of a professor that was trying to leave the campus premises.
