Stalin urges CMs of southern and non-BJP ruling states to oppose NEET

DMK working president MK Stalin on Tuesday urged the Chief Ministers of southern states and West Bengal to oppose the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) as “it puts rural and economically weaker students at a fundamental disadvantage.” Stalin, in his tweet, tagged the CMs of Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and West Bengal.

The opposition leader wrote on Twitter, “The discrepancies in the translated NEET question papers have discriminated against non-Hindi speaking students. I urge all Chief Ministers of non-BJP ruling States to join together in opposing this unfair test on this ground also.”

A 19-year-old medical aspirant committed suicide near Senji, Villupuram, after allegedly failing to clear the medical entrance exam. Prateebha had scored 1125 out of 1200 in her class 12 board examinations.
