According to reports, Tamil Nadu opposition leader MK Stalin along with his party MLAs is staging a dharna before Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami’s room at the Secretariat in Chennai. Stalin has demanded permission to meet the Chief Minister and is protesting before his room. Reports suggest that the DMK working president and the MLAs are raising slogans against the Chief Minister.

Earlier on Thursday, DMK and Congress boycotted the Assembly session condemning the police firing against the anti-Sterlite protesters in Thoothukudi. Stalin has demanded the resignation of CM Palaniswami. He has also called for an inquiry commission headed by a serving High Court judge to probe the firing incident.
