Special clinics for transgenders in Chennai, Madurai

According to reports, a special clinic will be set up at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital and Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai for treatment of transgenders at the cost of Rs 30 lakh, Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar reportedly said on Thursday.

Making 108 new announcements in the Assembly, Vijaya Baskar said, “A special clinic will be set up for treatment of transgenders at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital and Madurai Rajaji Medical College Hospital at the cost of Rs 30 lakh”.
