Seven-year-old Yasin was showered with praises and rewards after returning a wallet with Rs 50,000 cash in it to the police. On Thursday morning, Yasin spotted the wallet on a road while going to his school in Chinna Semur, Erode.
The wallet reportedly contained Rs 50,000 in 100 Rs 500 notes. He immediately picked it up and handed it over to the Superintendent of Police. Yasin was showered with praises for his honesty and diligence. The SP also directed the police force to help the boy.
Yasin was reportedly rewarded with a new uniform for school and other equipment. The boy will also be felicitated during the District Police Officers meeting to be held on July 19.
