TN: School van falls into canal, 22 children injured

According to reports from TOI, a school van fell inside a canal in Tiruvarur district on Monday morning. 22 school children were injured in the accident.

The van was headed to Lalithambigai Matriculation High School at Poonthottam when the driver lost control and ran the van inside a canal. Reportedly, all the children in the van were of ages 5-10.

Luckily, since the canal was dry, the students escaped with minor injuries. The injured were rushed to a nearby government hospital, while two had to be taken to a private hospital due to fracture on their legs.
