Class 10 Girl Physically Assaulted by Drunken Man and Murdered

Though the era of women empowerment has started to show up, the need for women protection from exploiting minds has been doubled. In a horrifying incident, a 30-year-old man near Sirkazhi in Nagapattinam had sexually assaulted a class 10 girl before murdering her.

The incident happened on Saturday night when the girl went to her house backyard. The police identified the man as K Kalyanasundaram who worked as a car driver near Sirkazhi. According to a TOI report, the girl was a student of a government higher secondary school. On the day of the tragic incident, the girl's father discovered her body with severe injuries on the neck and face.

Later it was revealed that Kalyanasundaram had committed such a heinous crime in a drunken state. He saw the girl walking on the backyard and dragged her only to sexually assault along with violent physical injuries.

The girl who was taken to the hospital passed away. Meanwhile, Kalyanasundaram had been booked under various sections by the Sirkazhi all-woman police and was remanded in judicial custody.
