Rs 4 crore seized from junkyard under flyover in Chennai

In the heat of the income tax department seizing Rs 180 crore and 107 kg gold from SPK and Co's Managing Director Nagarajan Seyyadurai, Rs 4 crore was seized from a junkyard under Gemini flyover on Tuesday night. According to reports from TOI, the place from where the money was seized is close to the highways department on Anna Salai.  

The trail of searches has helped identify a connection between contractors and state highway officials. Seyyadurai has been handling many state highway projects. One of his business associates is a relative of a senior AIADMK party member.

More money was seized from Seyyadurai's house in Mylapore, taking the total to a Rs 180 crore. According to reports, about 107 kg gold was seized till Wednesday.
