Popular Music Orchestra Owner Raman Found Dead in Chennai Residence
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe co-founder of popular music orchestra Lakshman Sruthi, Raman was found dead at his residence on December 24 (Tuesday) night. Raman breathed his last at the age of 54.
Ashok Nagar police officers confirmed that Raman hanged himself to death. His body was sent to postmortem and brought back to his home.
The police officers have registered a case and further investigations over the reasons for the suicide is underway. Raman is the twin brother of Lakshman and the duo inaugurated Lakshman Sruthi Orchestra in 1987.
The duo has performed 10,000+ shows worldwide with their musical troupe. The sudden news of Raman's death has sent shock waves across musical fraternity. He was survived by his wife Nirmala, son Manoj Kumar, brothers Murugavel and Lakshman and sister Punitha.
