Three students of Pachaiyappa's College were arrested for creating a racket with knives at Basin Bridge railway station on Thursday. Allegedly the railway police received information that three men in custody of weapons took a train from Chennai Central to Gummidipoondi.
After realising that the police were chasing them, the men attempted to run away. However, they were immediately caught. The men were identified as Kaviarasu, Marudhupandi and Somasundaram. Allegedly, four knives and fireworks were seized by the police.
