Balachandran, director of Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai, on Monday, said that some parts in south Tamil Nadu and a few places in the north of the state will receive rain. He said that Colachel region registered a rainfall of 3cm.
He further said that the strong low air pressure in the southwest Arabic sea will turn into a depression which may eventually turn into a cyclone. Issuing a warning to fishermen in the state to not venture into sea till May 23, Balachandran added that Tamil Nadu will not be affected due to the weather condition.
