It came as a shock to Tamil Nadu medical aspirants when many students were allocated centres in Kerala and Rajasthan to write the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. The Madras High Court's directive to set up a few centres within TN was stayed by the Supreme Court leaving no choice for the students.

Many strongly condemned the Centre and CBSE for the pitiful state of the students. Director Pa. Ranjith on Friday wrote on his Twitter page, "NEET exam is an injustice done to students. The reason students who once asked for NEET to be banned are begging to be allowed to write in their own state is because of the central government and its shadow-like state government."
