According to reports, former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s close relative has been murdered and his body was dumped near a tank in Krishnagiri. 47-Year-old S Sivamoorthy, who ran a knitwear export company in Uthukuli road near Karumarampalayam in Tirupur, went missing after Monday noon.
The industrialist reportedly left for Coimbatore on Monday, but didn’t return till Tuesday. Though it is said that he called his father from Coimbatore saying that he’ll be back for lunch, his phone signal was finally detected near Sathyamangalam.
Police arrested three men namely Vimal, Manibharathi and Gowtham near Ambur after getting a tip-off. During the investigation, they confessed to killing Sivamoorthy. However, the motive behind the murder is not known yet.
