Over 10 lakh people were arrested; the shutdown was a success, claims Stalin

DMK working president MK Stalin, after protesting against the Central government for not forming the Cauvery Management Board, spoke to the press and said, "The shutdown across Tamil Nadu was a complete success. I'd like to thank the multiple party leaders, traders, students, youngsters and the public." He further claimed that he received information that over 10 lakh people have been arrested for participating in the protest.
