Virudhunagar Criminal Court on Friday rejected the bail plea of disgraced lecturer, Nirmala Devi, who was arrested for allegedly trying to lure female students in cash-for-marks scam.
Nirmala Devi was working for Devanga Arts and Science College, when an audio clip of hers, allegedly trying to lure female students into dirty jobs, did rounds on social media and eventually led to her arrest.
Meanwhile, Nirmala Devi on her part has alleged involvement of a number of higher officials of the Madurai Kamaraj University and Tamil Nadu in seeking sexual favours.
