A Srivilliputhur court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of disgraced ex-professor of Devanga College of Arts Nirmala Devi in a case relating to allegedly alluring students into sexual favours in return for cash and marks.
Nirmala Devi had approached the court seeking bail citing health reasons. This is the fourth time that she has been turned down by a court.
Nirmala Devi was arrested on April 16 and based on her inputs, two more landed in jail as well -Professor Murugan (42) and researcher Karuppaswamy (39).
