Nirmala Devi case: PhD student surrenders in Madurai court

In a latest in the sex for cash case, where Aruppukottai professor Nirmala Devi is accused of luring students to offer sexual favours to ‘higher’ officials of a leading university, PhD student Karuppasamy, who went into hiding, has surrendered in a Madurai court. Earlier, police arrested another professor named Murugan in connection with the case. Meanwhile, the CB-CID five days’ custody of the professor ends today.
