Newborn girl found dead in a bag at Chennai central station

According to reports, the corpse of a newborn baby girl was found in a leather bag in an express train from Kolkata in Chennai central railway station.

The incident came to light when police found an abandoned bag in the train. Upon opening the bag, the corpse of the newborn was recovered by police. Police suspect that the baby might have died due to suffocation as the bag was closed. A case has been filed and a probe is on to nab the accused.
