More than 300 families evicted from Oteri slum

According to reports, police and corporation officials evicted as many as 315 families on Sunday from their homes on Konnur High Road, Oteri. Reportedly, the Madras High Court granted time till June 10 for the families to vacate their homes.

However, the residents did not object to evict even though they have got more time left. They reportedly said that they all got their children admitted to other schools that are away from the slum. A police official reportedly said the people agreed to move and no force was used.
