The Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami on Wednesday reportedly inaugurated ‘Amma WiFi Zone’ in five cities. The late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa promised for free wi-fi across Tamil Nadu. However, the inaugurated scheme provides free wi-fi for only 20 minutes every day for each person, after which people have to pay and use.

In the first phase, the Chief Minister inaugurated these zones at the Labour Statue on the Marina, Gandhipuram bus terminus in Coimbatore, central bus terminus in Salem and Trichy and Mattuthavani MGR bus terminus in Madurai.
