A man from Vellore district attempted to murder his two sons by throwing them into a well. While his seven-year-old son survived, the accused's three-and-half-year-old son drowned to death.
Muniappan had split with his wife and was living with his two sons. He was allegedly going through depression, due to which he tried to murder his two sons. His seven-year-old son knew swimming and saved himself, but the toddler drowned.
Muniappan tried to hang himself after his son returned home. However, the boy called for help and had Muniappan rescued. The police were immediately called after which Muniappan fled. A search is on to nab Muniappan.
