Man arrested for posting derogatory remarks against CM, Deputy CM

Police have reportedly arrested a man from Mannargudi in Thiruvarur district for allegedly posting derogatory remarks against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam. The man, Sivakumar, is also accused of spreading false information about the CM and his deputy on the social media platform.

He was arrested based on a complaint from a man named Suresh Kumar from Pattinapakkam. Three cases have been filed against the man.

Two women had also reportedly filed a complaint with the Commissioner’s office in Chennai against the man. The cybercrime branch of Central Crime Branch police have registered a case and are probing the matter.
