According to reports, the Madras High Court on Thursday rejected S Ve Shekher's anticipatory bail petition and gave permission to the police to arrest him. Shekher faced the heat after sharing a derogatory post about female journalists on Facebook. Many protested outside the BJP office in Tamil Nadu and even a complaint was filed at the police station against him.
However, Shekher had filed an anticipatory bail petition at the High Court and so action could not be taken against him. Now with the HC rejecting his petition, S Ve Shekher can get arrested any time now.
