The Kovai traffic police department has introduced swiping machines for collecting fine from commuters on the road on Tuesday. The decision was made so as to reduce problems between the police and commuters and to bring about a transparent way of charging money.
According to reports, 70 swiping machines have been initially introduced in Kovai. The money swiped will automatically be credited to the Kovai police department's bank account.
