Following DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi's demise, #Karunanidhi, #RIPKalaignar has been trending worldwide on Twitter. 

Meanwhile, Centre has announced one day of national mourning with flags across India to be flown at half mast. 

Media reports also say that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reached Chennai to pay her last respects to Kalaignar.
