"I accept his apology, but," journalist Lakshmi responds to Governor's letter

After patting journalist Lakshmi on the cheek at a press meet on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit had sent an apology letter to her. In an interview with News7, Lakshmi responded to the letter and said, "I received an email from the Governor's office. In his letter he has said that I am like his granddaughter. However, he could have just given me an answer for my question."

Lakshmi stressed on the fact that if he had answered the question, it would not have become a huge incident. She said, "If you want to answer a question, then answer. If you cannot answer, then say no comments or just walk off. Why do you have to ridicule a journalist?" She also said, "I accept his apology, but I don't feel like accepting his granddaughter excuse."
