Pa Ranjith, the director of Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Kaala’, has denied that the film has been made for the actor’s politics. When asked about the political motive behind the film, the filmmaker stressed that the film has been made only to talk about the issues of the people.

When questioned if he will join Rajinikanth on his political journey, Ranjith responded by saying, “I’ll work together with anyone who works for the welfare of the people. I’ll also contradict if their motive is against the welfare of people.”

Further, Ranjith also denied that the actor compelled him to make the film for his politics. Kaala, the second film of Pa Ranjith-Rajinikanth duo, released today (June 7) in India. This is the first release of Rajinikanth after his announcement about his political entry in December last year.
